MISERY INDEX Part Ways With Drummer, Seek Replacement
March 16, 2004MISERY INDEX, the Baltimore, Maryland-based band featuring Jason Netherton (bass/vocals, ex-DYING FETUS),Sparky Voyles (guitar, ex-DYING FETUS, M.O.D.),and Bruce Greig (guitar, ex-DYING FETUS, NEXT STEP UP),have parted ways with drummer Matt Byers. "Matt has decided himself to move on and do other things in life, and we respect his decision, metal will miss yet another great drummer," the band write on their web site. "Nevertheless, MISERY INDEX will be moving ahead and today is seeking a replacement immediately, to fulfill upcoming (and developing) tour dates from May through August, as well as someone to eventually become a permanent member. It is also a plus if you have (or can obtain) a passport, touring experience, and no felonies (for the Canadian and other borders). As previously reported, MISERY INDEX filmed a video for the track "The Great Depression" on January 31 at the Ottobar in Baltimore. "The Great Depression" (mp3) comes off the band's debut album, "Retaliate", which was released in August through Nuclear Blast Records.
